Community Organizer Training
There is a need to develop training and presentation materials that connect with rural and tribal voters. We’ve created a series of online training sessions that highlight the work we've done in Navajo County and with our partners during the 2020 election. We have the playbook and are now looking to expand it and share it to build our base. These presentations and trainings are tailored for a variety of audiences and purposes (digital organizing, RTS, VAN, texting, phone banking, etc.) and funding is key to help create hard copy materials, promote it, pay trainers, and get it in the hands of our residents. These events will serve as another path to register voters, recruit PCs, state committee members, and volunteers. It also can help with fundraising. When it’s safe to present in-person funds will also be needed for traveling long distances to communities spread out across Navajo County.
In 2021 our PC Orientation training series, facilitated by DNC Committeewoman Debbie Nez-Manuel has attracted participants from five counties, an investment in trainings for Navajo County is an investment statewide.

We turned Arizona blue in 2020 with our collective voting power, now we have to keep it blue and protect our right to vote.
Volunteers are needed in Navajo and Apache County to help inform residents about current legislation that is being pushed by Republicans to make it harder for us to vote, support Native organizers, increase Democratic presence, and more.
